"Uendelig mange har talt og fortalt om "walking-in" - uendelig få ved hvad det vil sige at overtage et andet menneske krop og hvordan det sker, og uendelig få kender de kriterier en sådan handling er underlagt! Først og fremmest er de dybt beklageligt at opleve, at "walking-in" er et begreb som benyttes i flæng - her skelnes ikke imellem en regulær besættelse og en "walking-in". Dernæst er det beklagelig at opleve, at denne dybt seriøse - og meget svære overførsel og sammensmeltning - er blevet et ønskværdigt modefænomen. Mange åndeligt søgende får ved forskellige "channelings" at vide at de er walk-in’s, hvilket ofte kun er delvis sandt, idet deres personlighed på et tidspunkt i deres udvikling er blevet overtaget af en anden del af deres Højer Bevidsthed. Endvidere er kanalernes esoteriske viden ofte mangelfuld, hvilket ofte resulterer i misinformation af deres klienter - i et par tilfælde havde klienterne total mistet orienteringen og troede, at "de havde fået en ny Sjæl". Ikke alene identificerede de sig totalt med personligheden, de troede også, at en anden Sjæl havde overtage dem, hvilket naturligvis skabte identitetskriser.
I en ellers udmærket bog, skrevet af en amerikansk kollega - fremstilles "walking-in" som et bevidst valg, og "walk-out’s" som selvmordskandidater. Det kalder jeg himmelråbende uvidenhed, misinformation af åndeligt søgende p.g.a. voldsomme projektioner af egen angst for "udefra-kommende". Derfor indgår begrebet "walking-in" som et afsnit i denne bog:
"Walking-in" styres af den 11. orden ud af Det store hvid Broderskabs 12 ordener. Denne orden kaldes Melchizedek-ordenen. "Walking-in" er et meget sensitivt begreb, idet uendelig mange kriterier skal være opfyldt før der gives tilladelse til "walking-in". Jeg vil kort nævne nogle få "must" som skal være opfyldt, før en tilladelse bliver givet:
- det skal ske i fuldkommen enighed med Det karmiske Råd
- den afgående sjæls Højere Bevidsthed skal være indforstået i prosessen-
- I forbindelse med den afgående sjæls karma indgås individuelle aftaler - der fastsættes "en pris".
4. Der skal være en vis stråleaffinitet - en vis åndsbeslæg-tethed - i modsat fald går den fysiske krop i chock, selv om energierne nedtrappes drastisk under overføringen.
- Den afgående sjæl skal overvåges/overskygges af walk-in'en, så der sker en tilvænning/tilpasning af energier. I modsat fald kan overføringen ikke finde sted, idet der først skal ske en åndelig sammensmeltning. Efter sammensmeltningen kan overførslen ske, og den af gående sjæl kan frigøres.
- Der sker en forudgående, intensiv træning af den pågældende walk-in. Det er et chock og ofte meget ubehageligt at "gå ned" i en fremmed krop, som har sine vaner og celleendringer med tilhørende traumer og gamle programmer, som forekommer walk-in'en at være komplet irrationelle - og alligevel oplever han/hun oftest sig selv som liggende under for disse faktorer.
- Der kræves en fuldkommen psykisk stabilitet og et vist åndeligt udviklingstrin skal være nået, før en ansøgning om "walking-in" kommer på tale.
Walk-in's er ofte væsener, som har valgt en speciel udviklingsvej og som har en special-opgave at udføre i et givent univers. Oftest henhører de under en special-kommando, som arbejder under Melchizedek-ordenen, og hele kommandoen trænes samlet til de forestående "walking-in's". De kommende walk-in’s overføres til en af de mange Lysøer på det æteriske plan (hvilket, afhænger af grundenergierne), hvorfra de kan tilnærme sig den fysiske krop, de skal overtage. Med overtagelsen af den fysiske krop følger naturligvis også den viden, som ligger oplagret i cellernes hukommelse.
En walk-in overtager altså den af gående sjæls personlige erindringer/erfaringer fra vugge til overtagelsestidspunktet. Derfor må en walk-in efter overtagelsen af kroppen påbegynde en renselse og tilpasning af kroppen, og der må samtidig arbejdes med eventuelle negative erindringer, som er indkodet i cellerne og i underbevidstheden. Det tager normalt mindst én Saturn-cyklus (7 år) at tilpasse en krop og hæve vibrationerne i denne. Det kræver også stor erfaring og forsigtighed under overførslen, idet en for hurtig overførsel kan forskyde eller overbrænde de beskyttende væv i chackraerne, så disse åbner sig før tiden - d.v.s. før de er tilstrækkeligt udrensede.
Jeg vil fortælle om 3 forskellige grader af walk-in's, idet jeg håber at skabe større forståelse omkring "walking-in".
Eks. 1: Dette eksempel kan vi kalde en "walking-in" af første grad, hvilket vil sige, at det i dette tilfælde var en sammensmeltning med en del af den Højere Bevidsthed. Lad os kalde denne walk-in for RD. Han er et veluddannet, intelligent, humoristisk og hjælpsomt menneske. Indtil overtagelsen levede dette menneske en ganske normal tilværelse, dyrkede sport og levede rimelig sundt.
Efter walking-in skete der markante forandringer i RD's liv. Han, som før var meget konkret og rationel, begyndte at studere åndelige emner. Endvidere fik han paranormale oplevelser, med dagsbevidste oplevelser af engle. Ved en channeling fik han at vide, at han var en walk-in. Selv om han ingen erindring havde derom vidste han, at det var sandt. Han vidste også, at han skulle koncentrere sig om at rense det fysiske legeme og hæve vibrationerne i dette, samt at lære at fokusere og koncentrere sine tanker og derved være bevidst skabende.
I forbindelse med walking-in blev RD sensitiv i stadig stigende grad, og han havde oftere og oftere kontakt med de højere åndelige planer. RD fortalte, at han vidste at slørene ville blive løftet, og at han ville få hele sin bevidsthed ned i den fysiske krop. Endvidere stod det ham klart, at årsagen til at hans walking-in forløb så let skyldtes, at en tilpasning havde fundet sted over en periode på nogle år. RD er stadig velfungerende i sit fysiske såvel som i sit åndelige liv.. link på denne boken

"HISTORIEN OM RAMPA"
I denne andre delen i omtale om "walk-in" begrepet vil jeg referere Lopsang Rampa i boken HISTORIEN OM RAMPA, som forteller om hvordan og hvorfor han skulle overta en annen persons legeme – som befant seg i England. Denne andre personen ønsket selv å forlate denne verden – og derfor ble et kroppsbytte forberedt fra de overfysiske plan, men før dette skjedde måtte Lopsang lære en del om den annen persons bakgrunn og historie – ved å se inn i dette overfysiske, åndelige "bibliotek" - akasha - der alt er "avfotografert" i et særlig medium. Og derfor tar jeg først litt med om dette med de såkalte De akashiske optegnelser:
"Hvilken vidunderlig kilde til viden var de "De akashiske optegnelser" ikke. Hvor er det tragisk, at folk ikke undersøger de muligheder, der ligger i optegnelserne, i stedet for at fremstille atombomber. Alt hva vi foretager os, alt hva der sker, bliver usletteligt aftrykt i Akasha, dette fintmærkende medium som gennemtrænger alle materier. Enhver bevægelse, som har fundet sted på jorden siden dens skabelse, er tilgængelig for den, som har den nødvendige øvelse. For dem, der holder deres øjne åbne, ligger hele verdenshistorien åben. En gammel forudsigelse fastslår, at efter slutningen af dette århundrede vil videnskabsmænd kunne bruge de akashiske optegnelser til at se tilbage i historien. Det vil være interessant at få at vide, hva Cleopatra i virkeligheden sagde til Antonius, eller hva Gladstones berømte bemærkninger gik ud på. For mig ville det være pragtfuldt at se mine kritikeres ansigter, når de konstaterer, hvilke fæhoveder de har været, når de bliver tvunget til at indrømme, at jeg (altså Lopsang Rampa) skrev sandheden. Det eneste der er trist i denne sammenhæng, er, at ingen af os vil være til stede der til den tid.
Men disse akashiske optegnelser, kan vi forklare dem nærmere? Alt hva der sker præges af sig selv i dette medium, som gennemtrænger selv luften. Når en lyd er opstået, eller en bevægelse er blevet påbegyndt, er den for altid registreret Ved hjælp af egnede instrumenter kan alle se det. Prøv at betragte det, som man betragter lyset, eller de vibrationer som kaldes lys eller synsevne. Som enhver videnskabsmand ved, ser vi stjerner om natten, som måske ikke længere eksisterer. Nogle af de stjerner er så langt borte, at lyset fra dem, som når os nu, kan være begyndt sin rejse til jorden, endnu før den blev til. Vi har ingen mulighed for at vide, om stjernen døde for en million år siden, for vi vil stadig kunne se lyset i måske endnu en million år. Det vil måske, være lettere, hvis vi taler om lyden. Når vi ser et lynglimt, hører vi først lyden nogle sekunder senere. Det er lydens langsomhed, der gør, at vi først ser lynet og bagefter hører lyden. Det er lysets langsomhed, der gør det muligt at se ind i det forgangne.
Hvis vi på et øjeblik kunne flytte os til en planet så langt borte, at det tager lyset et år at nå jorden, som vi lige havde forladt, så kunne vi dér se lys som var opstået et år, før det nåede os. Hvis vi håvde nogle superstærke, superfølsomme kikkerter, med hvilke vi kunne betragte en hvilken som helst del af jorden, ville vi kunne se begivenheder, som var et år gamle. Hvis vi fik evnen til at flytte til en planet, sammen med vor kikkert, og denne planet lå så langt borte, at lyset fra jorden var en million år om at nå den, ville vi være i stand til at se jorden, som den så ud for en million år siden. Ved at bevæge os længere og længere væk, på et øjeblik naturligvis, kunne vi nå et punkt, hvor vi ville være i stand til at overvære jordens tilblivelse og måske endda solens.(noe lignende er forklart i boken EN ALTERNATIV KOSMOLOGI av tore alfstad. rø-anm.)
De akashiske optegnelser sætter os netop i stand til det. Ved specialtræning kan vi bevæge os ind i astralverdenen, hvor tid og afstand ikke eksisterer, og hvor der findes andre dimensioner. Så kan man se alt. Andre tider og andre afstande. Lad os tage et eksempel: Forestil dig, at du har en kilometer tynd tråd, for eksempel en sytråd. Man er nødt til at bevæge sig ad den ene side og om på den anden. Som det forholder sig på jorden, kan man ikke bevæge sig gennem tråden, og heller ikke rundt om dens omkreds. Man er nødt til at rejse en kllometer hen ad overfladen og tilbage igen på den anden side. Rejsen er lang. På astralplanet bevæger man sig bare igennem. Dette eksempel er selvfølgelig meget simpelt, men at bevæge sig gennem de akashiske optegnelser er ligeledes simpelt, når man bare ved, hvordan man skal gøre det.
De akashiske optegnelser kan ikke anvendes til forkastelige formål, de kan ikke bruges til opnåelse af oplysninger, som ville være til skade bagefter. Uden særlig tilladelse kan man ikke få lov til at se og diskutere en privatpersons affærer. Man kan naturligvis se og diskutere ting og begivenheder, som er rent historiske.
Nu skulle jeg altså se glimt af en andens privatliv, og jeg skulle beslutte mig endeligt; skulle jeg overtage dette fremmede legeme som erstatning for mit eget? Mit eget blev stadig svagere og svagere, og hvis jeg skulle kunne udføre min tildelte opgave, var det nødvendigt at få et legeme som kunne hjælpe mig over den periode, hvor jeg skiftede molekylerne over til mit eget legeme…..

(-som de nevnte innvidde lamaer rent dagsbevisst kan besøke - gjennom at de viljemessig kan overføre sin dagsbevissthet til astrallegemet, noe som for de flestes vedkomne kun skjer helt naturlig om natten mens man sover. Kun visse bruddstykker av det som oppleves der kommer i STERKT FORVRENGT FORM igjennom som "drømmer" til dagsbevissten (hjernen). Her altså fra "PLANLEGGINGS-MØTET" :
"....den gamle lama lo og sagde: - Vi måtte fortælle ham, at det ikke kunne gå så hurtigt (å komme fri fra kroppen og dette fysiske liv), at du (altså Lobsang) først ville komme og se ham selv, før du besluttede dig endeligt. Når alt kom til alt var det en lykke for ham og en besværlighed for dig.
Jeg (altså Den gamle lama) - så på dem begge. - Udmærket, sagde jeg til sidst. Jeg vil komme tilbage om en måned. "Hvis du har skæg (det var Lobsangs krav at han måtte anlegge skjegg – fordi dette ville skjule Lobsangs mange ansiktsarr – fordi hans egen kropps programmering på meget kort tid ville komme fram i den "nye" – lånte – kroppen. R.Ø.anm. ) til den tid, og du er helt sikker på, at du vil påtage dig dette her, så vil jeg frigive dig og sende dig ud på din egen rejse. (Altså den frigjørende "reise" til de høyere verdener etter døden).
Han sukkede tilfreds og et lyksaligt udtryk gled over hans ansigt, mens han langsomt gled ind i sit fysiske legeme. Den gamle lama og jeg rejste os og vendte tilbage til Tibet. (Alt dette siste skjedde altså som et møte på det "finstoffelige" astralplan – hvorfra Den gamle lama og Robsang med letthet og lynhurtig kunne besøke den andre som var i England).
Buddhas tand! - hva var det dog, jeg havde indladt mig på? Opgaven! Det undrede mig stadigt, at der overhovedet var en "opgave". At se en aura var for mig lige så enkelt, som det var for en mand med godt syn at se en person stå nogle meter fra sig. Jeg grundede over forskellen mellem øst og vest, og tænkte på, hvor let det ville være at overbevise en vesterlænding om værdien af en ny arbejdsbesparende opgave, og hvor let det ville være at overbevise en østerlænding om noget nyt i åndens rige.
Tiden gik. Jeg hvilede mig meget, mere end nogensinde før i mit liv. Kort før måneden var til ende, kort før jeg skulle vende tilbage til England, aflagde jeg et nyt besøg i "Landet Med Det gyldne Lys".(Navnet han bruker på det åndelige plan som "planleggerne" befinner seg på. R.Ø.anm.)
Foran alle disse højtstående personer havde jeg en ubestemmelig fornemmelse af at være til et stabsmøde, ligesom i krigens tid! Mine tanker blev opfanget af de andre, og en af dem sagde smilende: - Ja, dette er faktisk et stabsmøde! Og fienden? Det er den onde magt, som vil forsøge at hindre os i at udføre vor opgave.
Du vil møde megen modstand og bagtalelse, sagde en.
- Dine metafysiske kræfter vil ikke blive ændret eller ingen måde forringet ved din skiften til et andet legeme, sa en anden.
-Dette er din sidste inkarnation, sagde min kære lærer Lama Mingyar Dondup. - Når du har afsluttet det liv (den kropp) du overtager, vil du vende hjem til os. Hvor holder jeg dog meget af min leder, tænkte jeg lykkeligt. De gik nu over til at fortælle mig, hva der skulle ske. Tre astralrejsende lamaer ville følge mig til England og foretage den egentlige frigørelse af hans Sølvsnor, og fastgøre den til mig! Vanskeligheden lå i at mit eget legeme, stadig i Tibet, stadig skulle være knyttet til mig, da jeg senere ville overflytte mine egne kødmolekyler. Altså vendte jeg tilbage til jorden og rejste sammen med mine ledsagere til England i astraltilstand.
Manden ventede på os. - Jeg er fast besluttet på at gøre sagde han.
En af lamaerne, som var med mig, vendte sig mod man og sagde: - Du bliver nødt til at falde ned fra det træ ligesom første gang, da vi mødte dig (han hadde fått en "ut-av-kroppen-opplevelse" etter et fall fra et tre, og de mente at de av en eller annen grunn på nytt måtte "skape" denne ytre ulykkesituasjon for å "drive eller skremme" hans åndelige legeme ut av det fysiske legeme –det fysiske hylster. R.Ø.anm.) Og det må nødvendigvis gøres lige så livagtigt som sidste gang, ligeså hårdt og voldsomt, for din Sølvsnor er meget solidt fæstnet. ("Sølvsnoren" = den eteriske ledning som overfører livskraften fra de åndelige legemer eller kropper og til den fysiske kroppen.)
Manden kravlede et par meter op, slap taget og faldt jorden med et tilfredsstillende bump. Et øjeblik var det, om tiden stod stille – så ble han frigjort og sagde: - Min kone ved alt om dette her, jeg har forklaret hende det, og hun er indforstået. Han kikkede op på huset og pegede. - Der er hendes værelse, dit er der. Nu er jeg helt klar.

En af lamaerne greb fat i mandens astralform og lod en hånd glide langs hans Sølvsnor. Han syntes at binde den op ligesom en navlesnor bindes op efter en fødsel. - Klar, sagde en af præsterne. Manden som var befriet for sin forbindingssnor, gled væk sammen med præsten som hjalp ham. Jeg følte en skærende smerte, en frygtelig pine, som jeg aldrig ønsker skal overgå mig igen, og så sagde den ældste lama: - Lobsang, kan du gå ind i det legeme? Vi vil hjælpe dig.
Det hele blev mørkt. Der var en absolut klam fornemmelse af noget rødt-sort. En følelse af kvælning. Jeg følte at jeg var blevet presset sammen, ind i noget som var for småt til mig. Jeg følte mig for inden i legemet som en blind pilot i en meget kompliseret flyvemaskine, og spekulerede på hvordan jeg skulle få dette legeme til at fungere. - Hvad sker der hvis jeg svigter nu? tænkte jeg elendig til mode. Desperat forsøgte jeg at få rede på det. Tilsidst så jeg nogle røde prikker, så nogle grønne. Beroliget forstærkede jeg mine anstrengelser, og så var det ligesom et gardin blev draget til side. Jeg kunne se! (altså se gjennom hans nye "lånte" kropp) Mit syn var præcis det samme som før, jeg kunne se folks aura på vejen. Men jeg kunne ikke bevæge mig.
( Dette med å kunne se menneskers aura var en egenskap han hadde fått opptrent helt siden han var barn – og denne historie er beskrevet i hans bok DET TREDJE ØYE som også er utgitt på dansk på 70-tallet av Strubes. Muligvis er den fortsatt i salg eller finnes på biblioteker, R.Ø.anm.) De to lamaer stod ved siden af mig. Jeg skulle senere finde du af, at jeg nu kunne se astrale skikkelser såvel som fysiske skikkelser. Jeg kunne også lettere komme i forbindelse med mine venner i Tibet. - En trøstepræmie, har jeg ofte fortalt mig for at blive forvist til den vestlige verden.
De to lamaer så bekymret på min stivhed, på min manglende evne til at bevæge mig. Jeg anstrengte mig desperat igen og og bebrejdede mig selv, at jeg ikke havde prøvet at finde du af, om der var nogen forskel på et legeme fra østen og et fra Vesten. - Lobsang! Dine hænder ryster, råbte en lamaerne. Ivrigt prøvede jeg mig frem. En forkert bevægelse fremkaldte en forbigående blindhed. Ved lamaernes hjælp kom jeg ud af legemet igen, studerede det nøje og kom ind i det igen. Denne gang var jeg mere heldig. Jeg kunne se, kunne bevæge en arm og et ben. Med en kraftanstrengelse kom jeg svajende og vaklende op på knæene og faldt tilbage igen. Med en kraftanstrengelse som løftede jeg hele verden på mine skuldre, lykkedes det mig at komme op at stå på benene.Fra huset kom en kvinde løbende og sagde(dette var konen til mannen som nå egentlig var dratt bort og i kroppen hans var nå den Tibetanske "ånd" - eller heller sagt Astralkroppen etc. til Lobsang. R.Ø.anm.): - Hvad har de nu gjort ved dig? Du må hellere komme ind og ligge ned. Hun så på mig og et bestyrtet udtryk trådte frem på hendes ansigt. Jeg troede et øjeblik, at hun ville blive hysterisk. Men så fik hun kontrol over sig selv, og lagde en arm om mine skuldre og hjalp mig hen over græsplænen. Op ad en lille grusgang, op ad en lille trappe og gennem en gang, ind i et lille forværelse. Derfra var det i sandhed meget vanskeligt, der var mange trappetrin at komme op ad, og jeg var endnu meget usikker og klodset i mine bevægelser.
Huset bestod i virkeligheden af to lejligheder, og den jeg skulle bo i var den øverste. Det forekom mig en smule grotesk at træde ind i et engelsk hjem på denne måde, ved at klatre op ad nogle meget stejle trapper, og hænge fast i rækværket for at undgå at falde baglæns. Mine lemmer føltes gummiagtige, soni om jeg ikke havde fuld kontrol over dem, hva jeg da heller ikke havde. Jeg var overbevist om, at det ville tage dage at vinde fuld kontrol over dette nye legeme. De to lamaer kredsede omkring mig (altså i sine astrale legemer som kun den clairvoyante Lobsang og ikke hans kone kunne se. R.Ø.anm.), meget bekymrede, men der var selvfølgelig ingenting de kunne gøre. De forlod mig da også kort tid efter, og lovede at komme igen ud på de små timer.
Langsomt kom jeg ind i soveværelset, som nu skulle være mit, vaklende som en søvngænger, og spjættende med arme og ben som en mekanisk mand. Taknemmelig tumlede jeg om på sengen. Endelig, trøstede jeg mig selv, kunne jeg da ikke falde længere ned. Mine vinduer vendte ud til både forsiden og bagsiden af huset. Ved at vende hovedet til højre kunne jeg se tværs over den lille forhave, ud på gaden og over på hospitalet, et syn som jeg ikke fandt særlig opmuntrende i min øjeblikkelige tilstand.
Til den anden side var der et lille vindue gennem hvilket jeg, ved at dreje hovedet til venstre, kunne se hele den større baghave. Den var forsømt, groft græs voksede i store totter som på en eng. Buske adskilte det ene hus fra det andet. For enden af græsplænen var der nogle spredte træer og et ståltrådshegn. Uden for det kunne jeg se omridset af en bondegård og nogle køer der græssede i nærheden.
Jeg kunne høre stemmer udenfor mit vindue, men de var så engelske, at jeg fandt det næsten umuligt at forstå, hvad der blev sagt. Det engelske jeg hidtil havde hørt, havde for det meste været amerikansk eller kanadisk, derfor virkede de meget accentuerede engelske stavelser umådeligt aristokratiske. (Han hadde tidligere i sitt liv som Lobsang Rampa gjort en reise til USA og bodd der en kort periode og slik lært det amerikanske engelske språk. R.Ø.anm.) Jeg fandt også ud af, at jeg selv havde svært ved at tale. Da jeg prøvede at sige noget, kom der kun en hul kvækken. Mine stemmebånd syntes så tykke og mærkelige. Jeg lærte kun langsomt at tale, og måtte først forestille mig, hva jeg ville ud-trykke. Jeg blev ved med at sige cha i stedet for j, og chon i stedet for John og andre lignende fejl. Somme tider kunne jeg dårligt nok forstå, hva jeg selv sagde.
Om natten kom de astralrejsende lamaer igen og fik min nedtrykthed til at forsvinde, da de fortalte mig, at det nu ville være lettere for mig at foretage astralrejser. Og så begynner den lange smertefulle periode hvor han må slite med en masse skitne og dårlig betalte jobber for å overleve – før han tilslutt begynner å skrive bøker om sitt liv, og bøkene vakte snart voldsom oppstandelse - for hvordan kunne en vanlig engelsk mann plutselig begynne å skrive slik en masse detaljert viten om den østlige åndelige kunnskap og viten på det metafysiske og okkulte – esoteriske felt? Kun de færreste kunne forstå at disse Rampas bøker beskrev den faktiske virkelighet – da de utkom for ca. 40 år siden. "THIS EXPERIENCE WITH A WALK-IN happened with totally unexpected spontaneity. It would be impossible to predict something like this anyway. When taken through the birth experience the majority of my subjects relive coming into this life in the conven-tional manner. Thus I was not prepared for this radically dif-ferent way of entering the physical body.
The young girl who was my subject had told me the story of her birth into this present life. She said that she had been born dead during a home delivery. The doctor tried, but had been unable to do anything for her, so he had put her limp body aside to care for her mother. It was only through the intervention of the girl’s aunt that she is alive at all. Although the doctor told them there was no use trying, her aunt had worked with the life-less body for several long minutes until finally a feeble cry was heard. This young woman had been told this story all her life. The family fully believed that if it had not been for the aunt’s perseverance, she would not be here today.
I wanted to take her through the birth experience to see what had really happened. Subjects have benefited greatly from regres-sions such as this. They especially have received greater insight into the feelings and attitudes of close family members, because it has been proven that the entity is fully aware of everything occurring during pregnancy and preceding their birth.
I have taken enough subjects through their birth experiences to be sure that this young woman was not even in the baby’s body at the time, but had delayed entry for some reason. Perhaps she was still conversing with her teachers and masters at the school on the other plane and had almost not made it in time. Perhaps she had been having second thoughts about entering into this life and the teachers had to use stronger persuasion. Often the entity tries to take on too much karma to be worked out as they plan their curriculum in his earthly classroom. They begin to wonder whether they are taking on too heavy of a load. It is very similar to signing up for college. There are often courses that are required which are more difficult than the easier extra-curricular courses. Often a student realizes he is taking on more than he can comfortably handle. This is similar to coming into a life. It always looks easier during the planning stage. But often the plans have gone too far with karmic relationships already arranged etc., and it is too late for the entity to back out.
I have discovered with my work at least two main ways that the entity is born. They may enter the body while it is still in the womb and go through the actual birth if they wish to experience this. They may also remain outside of the baby’s body but in close proximity to the mother and merely watch. They have freedom during this time to still go back and forth to the spirit planes as they are not totally tied to the baby yet.
The main requirement, no matter which way they choose to do it, is that they enter the baby’s body at the first breath. Failure to do so can result in stillbirths.
Because of the circumstances of her birth, instead of asking her to go to the time she was born, I asked her to go to the time she first entered this physical body to whom I was speaking. Maybe it was this wording that triggered the incident. I counted her there and asked what she was doing.
S: I’m watching.
I was not surprised because I knew she would not be in the baby’s body.
D: Where are you!
S: At the foot of the bed. (A deep breath) I’m preparing to enter into the body for the final time. Up to this point it has been for . . . short periods only.
D: Do you mean the infant’s body!
S: No. It is not the body of a baby. It is an adult body.
This was a shock and one I was totally unprepared for. What did she mean?
D: You mean you are not coming into an infant's body that has been born?
S: No.
D: This is not a normal thing, is it?
S: No, but it is becoming more normal than a lot of people would be led to believe.
D: You said you have entered this body for only short periods up until this time! What did you mean?
S: There has been an exchange of souls. A trying-out period, as it were, to decide whether or not the relinquishment would be made. Whether or not she would accept what she had asked for.
D: She asked for this?
S: Yes. It is something that has been wished for and the other entity felt her time was over.
I was having difficulty accepting this. It sounded very much like what is called a “walk-in.” This is a term that originated in Ruth Montgomery’s writings and has come into popular usage. It loosely means a spirit that “walks-into” a living body instead of being born as a baby. I had encountered this phenomenon only once before in regressive hypnosis. That experience involved an entity that entered the body of a young child who was very ill. An exchange of souls was made when the occupying soul wanted out. That experience happened during a session conducted in the I960S,long before the term “walk-in” had even been coined. D: Why? Did something happen! Was there a reason for this?
S: The decisions that affected the life. She thought that she would be able to handle the problems that she had put upon herself and when she found out that they were too strong, she asked to be returned home.
D: Will you please explain what you mean?
S: (A deep breath) She did not have the strength she thought that she had; therefore she is asking to be relieved of the situation.
D: Couldn’t this occur wiith the death of the body?
S: Yes, but why cause the body to die when another can take its place and do much good. It was the soul that decided she could not deal with the karma she had chose to deal with, and decided to leave the body. This body . . . it is not time for It to die. It must continue on. In these cases the body is left operating so that another soul may enter.
D: And doing something like this is not frowned upon?
S: It would be frowned upon if she took the life of the physical body.
D: You mean like suicide?
S:
Yes. But in just relinquishing it to another who would do good, there is no harm and there is nothing badly thought of this entity. This is a trade that is made with both parties agreeing.
I think one thing that was confusing me was that this sounded so much like possession. We have had so many movies lately like the Exorcist, that the idea was frightening.
S:
There is no similarity whatsoever. A possession is when a warped spirit would control another. In a walk-in situation there is no control. There is but one entity in that body. The only way that entity can step into that body is that the other one willingly relinquish it. There is total permission. With a possession, it is exactly that-it is possession without right.
D: Where is all this decided! Where is it worked out!
S: On the spirit side. We discuss this with the masters and the decisions are made.
I wondered if the physical personality had anything to say about it. This girl certainly was not consciously aware of a decision of that magnitude.
D: Does she go somewhere at different times to discuss it!
S: Yes, when she is in a state that appears as sleep to others, she would journey.
This was a disturbing thought to me. To think that as conscious human beings we have so little to say about what is

going on in our own lives. It is as though our consciousness is but a thin veneer covering an extremely complicated interior.
D: Has the discussion been going on for quite a while?
S: For about two months.
D: How old is this physical body that you are going to enter?
S: Twenty-one.
Twenty-one? This was another shock. I had met this girl shortly after her twenty-second birthday. This means that this exchange occurred just before I met her. Yet she seemed no dif-ferent from anyone else I came into daily contact with.
D: She stayed with that body a long time.
S: Yes. There were a lot of things that were cleared up. There was just too much karma that had been accepted that it could not be carried out.
Was this the reason for her delay in originally entering into the physical body at birth? Was she having second thoughts about her ability to carry out all the assignments she had given herself? She had already had many problems in her young life and by all outward appearances she had faced and solved them admirably. Had she really lived her life with reluctance and only reached the age of 2 I through perseverance?
Does this mean we can never really know a person? Does it mean we can never really know ourselves? This situation impressed upon me quite strongly for the first time the separate-ness of the different parts of a human being and how little con-trol we truly have over these other parts.
D: Who made the decision as to who would enter the body?
S: The masters decided that there was enough likeness of selves that the change would not be greatly noticeable.
D: Did you know the other entity?
S: Higher? Yes. We have also shared other lives together.
D: You said this occurrence is becoming more frequent. Why? Are the pressures of living on Earth becoming too great?
S: Yes. Plus the fact that those who are walking-in have not gone through the trauma of childhood or birth and they are
more open to the influences from this side. At present and in the future there is a great need for this openness. These are people who shall guide others into the times to come. One of the reasons for the walking-in is that there is a shortage of time and a shortage of vehicles. There must be those who have an ear open, as it were, to the other side. And what better way than if they didn’t have to go through birthing and childhood and forget all of the memories of before? Therefore much good can be done through them. The energy that we bring with us when we are walking-in influences those around us also-inmany ways that are not always noticeable on the surface. Much important work is being done.
From the work I have done with regressions, I have developed a theory about children and memories of past lives. When the soul enters the body the memories are still very close to the surface. It must be very frustrating to suddenly find oneself entrapped within the body of a baby unable to communicate. No wonder they cry so much. They are trying to get the thought through to people that they are really an intelligent old soul that knows more than we can possibly imagine. During the first two years the spirit becomes so involved in learning to make this new body work and learning to communicate again that the memo-ries are muted and pushed into the background. The few chil-dren who do still remember and try to tell people are usually criticized or ridiculed until they stop trying, and resign them-selves to being “normal.” I believe if such children were encour-aged, instead of being made to feel different, they would learn to use these abilities to their advantage. The walk-in, on the other hand, enters the body fresh without the trauma of birth and with-out spending years trying to get the body to function. Thus they are very psychic because the memories and abilities carried over from the other plane are highly developed and very fresh and active.
D: Will the physical body notice any difference when the exchange is made?
S: No, the heart-rate and breathing will be continued on. In many cases this exchange is done at the point of death-where a person would seem to die and then begin again. But

this is not always the case. Many times there is just a going to sleep. And when they way up, they . . . you are that person and the other one has gone. But all of the memories have been absorbed, so you are that person.
D: What about the other entity’s karma? Do you continue this for them
S: Yes. In the agreements made, I must finish certain things that the other person stipulated must be finished.
D: You work out the other person’s karma?
S: No so much karma as, there are certain things that this origi-nal takes on when a body is begun. There is so much inter-action with other souls that if certain obligations were not completed it would affect too many lives. Therefore the bargains must be made so these obligations can be met.
D: Do you mean that the soul who comes in knows all the obligations that the previous occupant of the body had? And is totally aware before they come in of what they have . . .
S: (Interrupted] What it is they must do, yes.
D: So you have your own memories and you are absorbing her memories also?
S: I have her memories of this life, but no past.
D: Then you don’t carry the records of her other incarnations?
S: No. Only my own.
This opened up another intriguing idea. Does this mean that if I had regressed her a few years earlier I would have gotten the memories of totally different lives than she had given me during the year I worked with her? This has happened to other research-ers and it is a point that is often grasped by psychiatrists and skeptics to disclaim reincarnation.
D: Why doesn’t the person, the physical entity, know that something like this has occurred?
S: Sometimes it would be too traumatic to know at that time. Some walk-ins go for the rest of their existence never know-ing. But they live better and happier lives than previously, doing much good to others and for others. The remembrance is not always important. The good they do is.
D: I was thinlung, if the physical body sometimes doesn’t even know that anything has happened, does this mean the
physical body is a separate entity?
S: Is it not such? If you are born into a body, the body would continue on for some time without the soul being in it. Therefore it has a separateness.
D: You mean when the spirit goes back and forth, whenever the body is a little baby?
S: Yes.
This was a point that has been brought up in many regres-sions, that the soul leaves the baby’s body continually for long periods of time when the baby is little. This most often occurs while the baby is asleep and everyone knows babies sleep a lot. It continues until the child has reached the age of around two years old. The soul is usually conversing with the masters at the school during this time and making last-minute decisions. This is also a possible explanation for crib deaths. The soul stayed away too long or decided to renege on its contract. So in this way the body can be separate and continue to exist for periods of time without the life force within it. I believe this is also what hap-pens to people in comas. The body continues to live but the soul has gone on elsewhere. This is why I think it is wrong to keep a clinically dead body alive. When the body has been vacated too long there is little likelihood the soul will choose to reenter. The body may also be damaged to the point that reentry of the origi-nal occupant or by any other soul is impossible. In such cases the body may be incapable of being reactivated.
As she talked, her voice sounded tired and her responses began to dull. She no longer had any interest in answering or couldn’t remember the answers to the questions. I have wit-nessed this before sometimes when the entity entered a baby’s body. When they were cut off from the other side, the knowledge was also cut off. They were no longer thinking in spiritual terms but were becoming involved in the physical.
D: I know you are tiring because when you enter the body you are beginning to absorb. Have you entered the .body now?
S: Yes.
D: And the physical body is asleep at night when it is happening?
S: Yes.

D: And the other entity has gone on?
S:
Yes.
Her responses were slowing down more and more, as though she was falling asleep.
S:
(Softly) It is strange to feel the heart again. To feel the body.
D: Had you intended to come back this quickly, or were you going to stay on the other side?
S: It was to be soon. I much prefer this way. I do not have as many problems to deal with as growing up. There is much work to be done now. ’Tis much easier this way.
D: Well, I’ll allow you to rest then because it must be quite an ordeal to do something like that.
Not to mention the ordeal she had just put me through.
When this young woman was told upon awakening what she had said in trance, she was startled, to say the least. She said, No! She could not believe that. She felt no different; she knew she was still the same person. Her conscious mind rebelled at the idea and she had the same difficulty that I had in absorbing some-thing of this magnitude. I told her if she did not want to accept the idea, she did not have to. She could just treat the informa-tion as an interesting curiosity. She did say that her parents had remarked that she seemed different, that she had changed in the last year or so. But that could have been merely part of the natu-ral maturing process. None of us stay the same; we are con-stantly growing.
Since the story of her birth was a well-known fact and had been retold many times within her family, it was obvious this information about being a walk-in was the last thing she expected to come out during the regression.
Later I received very similar information about this topic from other subjects.
D: Have you ever heard the term “walk-ins”?
S: That is correct.
D: Can you explain that for me?
S: As we mentioned earlier, there are more souls waiting to incarnate than there are bodies to accommodate them. Sometimes there comes a time in an individual’s life when he finds that he truly no longer wishes to be in the physical. He has reached a point where the physical weights and cares have dragged the soul to a level from which it cannot sustain itself. And so the individual is given the option to pass over to the other side. There is then made available the oppor-tunity for an individual on the spirit side to come and inhabit that body. So there would be a mutual exchange of places, so to say. This is very beneficial for both. For you can see the original soul is released to his true home. And that indi-vidual on the spirit side is then allowed a vehicle on which to work karma.
D: If the spirit wanted to go back, why couldn’t the body just die?
S: There would be the loss of the vehicle, the physical body. And there is often a time frame which must be reckoned with. For example, assume the original host entity or soul had a relationship to work through with his wife. The situ-ation developed so that the husband found he could no longer
continue in that condition, and so was released to the spirit side. The entity entering into the body then would be charged with the responsibility of working through that karma with the wife. Thus after completing various tasks agreed to beforehand, the entering entity is then allowed to begin work on its own tasks and karma.
D: Then it has to agree to finish whatever the vehicle started?
S: That is correct. There is no exchange without consent from both sides. That is, for the one to relinquish the karma and for the other to assume the karma.
D: How is it decided who will enter this body that still has to be kept alive?
S: It is decided in the same manner that the decision is made of who will enter in the first place. It depends on who has karma to work out with these people. Whether or not it is felt that they can handle what must be done. And whether or not the person is advanced enough to not need the lessons of childhood and birth and to enter into an entity with full memory.
D: That makes it more difficult, doesn’t it, to not lose those

memories at birth!
S: (Emphatically) One does not lose the memories at birth. Children still have them. They can be seen in some of the games they play that parents and adults call “make-believe.” We, as adults, silence them in many ways whether it is intended or not. But the memories grow quieter as one grows older because of these outside influences, more so than any-thing in the entity.
D: I thought maybe the trauma of birth and growing up, learn-ing to use the body, might push the memories back.
S: Some of them, yes, but not all.
D: Then I suppose as they grow older if this memory is not exercised, they forget. I am beginning to understand this better, but I think the reason why it always bothered me is because it sounded so similar to possession by a spirit.
S: As we said, there is no exchange without the expressive con-senting agreement between both souls. It is agreed upon beforehand and oftentimes a schedule is arranged between the two. An orderly schedule in which the procedure is to be accomplished. And so it is not an unwilling and unknown act at all. It is a partnership agreement.
D: But what about the conscious vehicle! Is the person aware of any changes that have taken place!
S: Oftentimes the vehicle will not know that ownership has traded hands, so to say. For there is with the implant of the new spirit the possession of all past remembrances of that vehicle’s life. And so from the physical point of view there is no apparent change of ownership or custodianship.
D: Then the conscious vehicle has nothing to say about it. It is not consulted, in other words.
S: The consciousness is never interrupted. The subconscious-ness changed hands, so to say. There is no discomfort and no interference. Sometimes when it is necessary or desired there will be the realization and remembrance of the actual transfer. And oftentimes with time there is the gradual realization and possibly remembrance of the exact time of the transfer.
D: I think that is what is bothering me. It seems you have so little to say about it.
S: It is not that we have nothing to say. We simply have more to say than can be received.
He obviously did not understand my remark. I was referring to the physical person not having anything to say about it. He thought I meant, he, as the communicator, was not supplying enough information. This demonstrates how literally the sub-conscious interprets remarks that are made while in the trance state.
S: We simply do not know what your questions are until you ask them.
D: That is true. You said before that the questions are as important as the answers.
S: That is correct. There must be a void before there can be the filling of the void.
